Northern Electric Sets

Established in 1886 as a telephone supplier in Canada. In the early years Western Electric owned a percentage of Northern Electric and made products for Bell Telephone of Canada. In the mid-1950's Northern Electric became independent from Western Electric and began to develop their own equipment. The company then became Northern Telecom in ???, Then Nortel, Then Nortel Networks.
